I'm good about leaving a trail behind me during the week, and only pick up occasionally, but my place gets a fairly thorough cleaning on the weekends. The only thing I'm really bad about keeping up with regularly is the dusting.

I do prefer having a clean home though, and it's like getting a haircut when everything is back in place come Saturday or Sunday afternoon. As with a lot of you, the place is spotless when I am expecting planned visitors, even the dusting.

It took a few pairs of shoes and some purses and random jewelry before mine caught on. I'll tell her til im blue in the face, but as soon as i'm not in the room shit's back to normal.

I am okay with the kid toys/mess, I am okay with the dogs toys but people mess drives me nuts.
She should have the common courtesy of you coming home to a nice clean house. IMO. Its not everyday you get to come home.

    This!!
Unfortunately, I saw the signs of how messy my wife was when we were dating. Pussy clouded my judgement. LOL. She has gotten better now that we have our own home.

The friends garage I was speaking of in the first post is exactly like that. I asked for a drink and they said to pull it out of the fridge in the garage. I walked in the garage to a floor covered in dog food and basically a pathway to the fridge.

It is like they are Hard Learners. We start with subtle hints, maybe actual suggestions, then directions that they ignore and it takes setting shit on fire to get them to understand the way we want shit done.

On that note, God created the paper plate and plasticware for guys like me. I hate dirty dishes and Sams will sell me 1,000 paper plates for $11.

I hate that I'm not home enough to keep my house as clean as I would like. I hate clutter, and I hate a dirty house. A lot of nights I don't get home until 10 or later, and usually go straight to bed. The woman will be moving back soon, and she keeps a pretty clean house, so that will help.

I'm actually at home sick today, and getting the house under control is my priority.

According to the Kirby vacuum salesman, I have the cleanest house he has ever been in, I told him that apparently I don't need his vacuum then and thanks for the free shampooing.

I keep my house pretty clean. Every 2 weeks I give it a good cleaning, especially if anyone is coming over I make sure it looks good.

Me and the woman are both pretty OCD so it stays clean even with a two year old and a black lab. The real cleaning stuff doesn't get done enough (windows, dusting, base boards, etc) so I'm going to hire some help in the next month or two.

Hell, right now I am searching for carpet cleaner companies and a house cleaner to come in before we have a birthday party in a month.

I'm lucky there, I have hardwoods throughout, except for 1 bedroom that is closed off that I haven't gotten to yet and is just storage. And by storage, I mean it has 2 book cases and maybe 3 knickknacks in it, it isn't overflowing with boxes and shit. It does show the dog hair a little quicker, but it's also easier to clean, and she doesn't shed too much.
