That being said, wouldn't a gun firing a metallic kinetic projectile pass through a lightsaber as molted metal and fuck up the jedi/Blake?
Edit: I have Han Solo's pistol within arms reach right now. Not even kidding.

In one of the books, Shatterpoint, Mace Windu goes to slap a blaster bolt away and is confused when he feels a sharp burning instead. The round went right through the light saber and ripped a hole in his side.
