In the meantime, my daughter has recognized my voice more and more on the phone and recognizes me in pictures. She started walking a week ago and is doing great. My wife has been sending me video after video. Looking forward to seeing her light up and walk to me at the airport tomorrow.

oh, and I passed my yearly physical so I am good to keep my job for another year. Last year I almost blew it when I found out I had terrible cholesterol numbers. Fish oil, Crestor, and LOTS of oatmeal and very little red meat are to thank for that.

When I get back, my GF surprised me, and booked a room down at Tenaya Lodge, just outside the south entrance to Yosemite. So I'll be spending my actual birthday in my favorite National Park.
