well they don't "prescribe" either since they are not medication but i believe there are cases where either of those substances have been recommended.



what i'm saying is that marijuana's legal status has nothing to do with the FDA's restriction of the use of it as a medicine. if it remains illegal, the FDA should still reduce it from a schedule 1 drug to give doctors an option to prescribe it.

obviously if it was legalized on a federal level, then that would take the ball out of the FDA's court and it could be suggested by a doctor to seek out that as an alternative medicine.

What are the percentages? You cannot compare raw numbers as I'm sure that the amount of people that consume alcohol far outnumbers that of the people who use marijuana.

Also, he could have used the below analogy and it would have been fitting, instead he automatically injected that people that consume the alcohol do it to an extreme, and that each would be driving drunk, etc.

Hard to say, as current testing is UA or blood which we all know isn't a fair reflector for whether someone was under the influence or not. I can personally say I've never known or heard of anyone getting into an accident or similar just from being stoned.. the same can't be said for many of my friends who prefer liquid spirits.
