How to deal with harassment from a police officer?

Harassment is the closest thing he could attempt to go for. It depends on exactly what is being said and if the OP is answering back or stopped the communication stating not to call ect. If he says stop texting and calling me, then sends another text to the guy, he pretty much just opened communication again. This is also a rocky situation for the OP. The wife could potentially turn on him as well. I would block both of them and move on. Post up the Texts!Originally posted by Chili View PostI said potentially, to be clear. And I already said which. Stalking and / or Harassment.

And then file a restraining order on him.Originally posted by thesource View PostExplain to him that this is all his fault for not laying the wood properly to his old lady in the first place.
Oh, and take a loooooooong vacation while things blow over.
Either way, you're in my dead pool now.

What 2 crimes as he committed?Originally posted by Chili View PostHis supervisor wouldn't care that their officer is potentially committing at least 2 crimes?
You don't think his boss would look at the totality of the circumstances? I know mine would. They would tell me to stop, I am sure that would be the end of it.

If he is showing up at your ex-wife's work it sounds like he might be using his job's resources to research you. I'm not sure how the PD looks at that sort of thing.

His supervisor wouldn't care that their officer is potentially committing at least 2 crimes?Originally posted by Machx2 View PostWhy would they care if he isn't presenting himself as an officer? Has nothing to do with his job and from what the OP posted, I don't see a law that would cover that. So what exactly would they care?

Bull. Shit.Originally posted by Machx2 View PostThe boss nor the news will care if the guy didn't present himself in uniform or as an officer.

Tell me how that is a news story? Everyone would look down on the OP and the wife more than they would the officer in my opinion.Originally posted by MattB View PostBecause the news never twists stories to the extreme, so you're right, they would never have a headline "Fort Worth Police Officer accused of harassing cheating wife's lover." No, that would never happen since he might not have had his uniform on for any of it.
