Once you get it home can you get an insurance policy on it?

Unless I had an original Mobile building to hang that on, I'd take the $60k and go find something else I could cherish. ;-)

This actually falls under the fringe of what I do. My company deals with art and antiquities. We have a shuttle service that runs to the West Coast every 2 weeks.

PM me if you want additional information

If I was to sell it for the $80k, I would profit a rough $60k. I'm not in a money pinch and I think the sign is way to cool to just flip without owning it for awhile. I have not figured out the texas hail part yet because I have not given it much thought. I guess I better start thinking huh!?

80k is a lot of money. How much did the restoration run you? How much do you have in it? How much would you profit from the sale? Since it is going to be in your back yard, are you ready for the Texas hail?

We are leaving out tomorrow to go pick it up. We are going to figure a way to crate it our selves. Thanks for the help and the smart ass comments, you guys never fail to amuse!!

Yes $80k was offered and we turned it down. Was it wise, probably not. Will I finally get to see the sign stand in the back yard after months of waiting, you bet your asses!

LTL's goal is to cram as much shit into a trailer as possible. I wouldn't ship anything of value that couldn't easily replaced. Especially not a restored antique.

They wont add anything over their standard $0.50 per lb insurance for anything like that. Hope it weighs more than its worth..

Depending on the size I can probably set up an EUV for $1800-$2200.

They'll use straps and pads. This is probably your safest bet.
