1994 Texas Court of Criminal Appeals ruled DWI road blocks/check points are unconstitutional until rules and guidelines have been set forth by the Texas legislature. Texas has had no DWI roadblock/checkpoint law passed yet. And the case was an Arlington case.

Well, they do them in Arlington, for sure. This one was on Pioneer Parkway, just West of Cooper. They were getting everyone headed East. We were on the other side of the median headed West.

The ones in Arlington/Pantego are "insurance" check points. But if you happen to smell like weed or booze then ur fucked. I rolled through one just last new years eve testing a car we just finished. They just let us roll right through. The midas parking lot had like 40 people lined up getting busted.
