That what the lawyer is going to argue. "My client was not doing 186 mph. Yes he was speeding but not anywhere near 186 mph. So he is not guilty of what the police report said".Originally posted by dblack1 View PostStock odo can be off good bit, 190 indicated on my zx14 w 205 rwhp stock gearing wasnt 180 gps

And that argument of course won't work, since his client would be the one saying he was going that fast. My guess is he pleads out and it doesn't make it to court.Originally posted by 1carcrazyguy View PostThat what the lawyer is going to argue. "My client was not doing 186 mph. Again, none of which are felonies..Unless he had more drugs with him. So basically he traded a ticket for a felony...Originally posted by 89stangGT View Postbut then again, he coulda been high as a mofo, drunk, not legally driving, not having insurance, etc. many reasons why people run other than speeding.
So as a convicted felon, which he will be (unless they plead it down)...He will no longer be able to own a gun, can't vote, will have trouble leasing an apartment, a lot of jobs won't hire felons, he could lose some professional licenses he might have, etc etc...
And since he probably isn't rich, guess what, he'll probably get a Lonestar card and all of us working joes (and you ballers) will be feeding his sorry felon ass...
