Yup same car. I owe way more than I can get from it with the multiple wrecks, and mileage on it. The car is actually really fun to drive, and for the most part still looks fantastic. If I replace the front bumper it will look perfect. And as far as the actual mechanics of the car go, in over 50k miles the AC is the first issue I've had. These compressors are known to go out from like 800 miles onward.

Today it wasn’t the temps, it was the crazy ass wind. By heavy winter jacket, I mean just a regular leather jacket.

The problem with Cold in Texas isnt the actual temperature it's the rapid swings that prevent you from adjusting or adapting. It was upper 60s this morning and now low 30s.

Then itll jump right back up.

In cold weather climates you actually get to acclimate, maintain and then wind down from the cold season. Here...theres not enough reason to buy proper cold weather gear so we have to half ass prepare.

Edit: cold weather in texas is also commonly accompanied by wind and precipitation. It's not just low temps because it's the result of a front.

I don't even own a jacket.

I put new tires on my mustang recently for this reason too. AC went out on it yesterday so defrost might get interesting. but atleast the heat still works.

Put new tires on the beater just in time, and I'd feel all squared away, except I don't have a warm winter jacket.
