Never have had to present a second ID, but it is my planned go to.Originally posted by homealone View PostIf you feel like an argument, give them your CHL when they ask for a second ID or throw your empty holster in your carry-on."Self-government won't work without self-discipline." - Paul Harvey

I'm not sure. When I was in Vegas a couple weeks ago, the TSA guy walked-up to me, said "Do you have any liquids over 3.5oz?" "no" "Okay, go on through!" I did have to put my laptop case + bag on the scanner line, other than that, nothing! It was great, didn't have to take my shoes off, take my laptop out of its case, take my jacket off, things out of my pocket, etc. That was my first "express boarding" experience, or whatever they want to call it.Originally posted by crapstang View PostWhat is up with the whole new "pre-screening" thing? I got randomly selected for it a couple weeks ago. It went faster, though. I think they're going to have a "speed lane" if you pay for it, or that's what it seemed like.

Its funny I get more hassles at DFW than any other airport... Just flew out of PDX and didn't have to take anything out (laptop, liquids), left shoes and belt on, and went through a regular metal detector. I did get the "explosive residue" test but it took all of 5 secs.
Even going out of NY (usually LGA) its zero hastle.

Ditto. DFW always scrutinizes my bags to the nth degree when I'm checking guns. The don't like my Plano gun cases at all. Las Vegas and St. Louis were easy. Though, Atlanta, the TSA guy asked me to rack my handgun to prove it was empty. :SOriginally posted by jakesford View PostIts funny I get more hassles at DFW than any other airport... I actually didnt have any problems leaving DFW for Orlando. DFW was quick and easy, Orlando on the other hand Jesus Christ. I will always say most of those people couldn't get a job scooping shit at the sale barn if it weren't for the tsAssholes.
Orlando was just a nightmare. My 65 year old f.i.l a veteran, thats somewhat disabled from a stroke, was selected for "additional screening" at the gate.I had his bag and mine and I had to check his cause it wouldn't fit in the bag thing. Even though mine wouldnt either they let it go and took his, I think they wanted to check it out again would be my guess. DFW never give us any problems about our bags. Im just thinking this man has fought to survive in Vietnam for our country. Why dont you re-check the durka durka 3 people in front of us?
I love flying but It drives me nuts dealing with stuff like that.1990 GT
