Have you heard about the 1/2 ton diesel? (dodge) -
I want one!! Only downside is the cost of diesel, you can go with the ecoboost and buy reg gas..

It is what I went with. I could not even bite on the Fords. Liked the GMs, but ended up with a Ram. The interior was better than either Ford or Chevrolet. I have been happy with it. Averaging around 17mpg combined. If I wanted a car note I would have went with the '14 GMC Sierra.

Stay away from the 5.4L - it's a severe gas hog and has no ass to it at all...

I agree. Stack that with oversized tires, I'm lucky to get 12.8 avg mpg. And I'm currently doing the dreaded spark plug change...

I'm "only" at 42k miles, but it's paid for so I'll suck up the gas mileage.

I think I avg about 14/17 city/hwy with stock 20's.

I love my crew cab chevy. I was wanting an extended cab but was swooned by the crew cab. It's the v6 ecotec and I'm averaging around 24-25 mpg on my good days. Gas is a bitch because there arent many e85 stations out there but the first time i filled the tank it was cost me around $60 for premium; it was cheaper a month ago. The interior is very nice and the seats are very comfortable. There's plenty of space available when you fold up the back seats.

No, I did it just because I wasn't sure at the time. Now I just fill her up with e85 since I found a station in Irving that has it.

My Dad loves his '12. I think he's sitting around 50,000 miles so far. Hasn't had an issue yet, and still as quiet inside as it was the day he drove it home. Obviously only 50,000 miles isn't very telling, but previous generations would have been starting to fall apart at that point.

I haven't h.hauled anything heavy yet but it accelerates very quickly. I test drove a 5.3 also and I couldn't tell the difference. Then again I upgraded from a 4 cylinder daily.

I only have 6k on mine so cant say much but my mom is driving a '05 that she bought new and is sitting at 225k, still daily driven.
