Okay figured it out almost. Since I don't want a look at me I suck cue I'm going with either:

    Used mcdermott m11b ($150) or g series 4 point ($233 new).

As opposed to a mcdermott a pred will hold its value
Low deflection shafts do feel different
For value a nice Scruggs, or Gilbert works for me
My mind is intact there pool expert
My predator gets worked weekly and i know some pretty good players locally who agree
    Just my opinion

OB shafts have the same cork in them. Some of them even have styrofoam in the center.
Any recommendation on a replacement shaft? I prefer a light (18-19oz) cue and use a lot of low english

I saw a Lucasi today for $109 with a white butt. It said "Lucasi" in plain letters and "309" on the other side. Can't find any info on it... There was a blemish on the butt and the shaft was really blued.. The only search result point to the le14 but the le14 has a black butt: http://www.omegabilliards.com/LUCASI_LE_14_p/le14.htm

    Not a top shelf shaft.

OP.... You can get into a Player's cue with the HXT shaft for around that. It's a low deflection shaft that is built just like the G-core from McDermott and it comes with a Kamui Black soft tip.

I like Huebler cues. You should be able to find several for about $150. Made in USA.
