In addition to locks, I put a jack stand under mine and pull the schrader valve. That way all looks fine, but if they pull it, it falls off the jack stand on to a flat tire. Unless they brought a tool. they gotta change a tire or fix the valve and air it up..
Just trying to make it a little tougher.

Another thing that you can do that's a pain in the ass but works good, is remove a wheel or two if long term storage. They also sell tire boots at most of the trailer shops though they're not cheap.

Or, what I do on my equipment trailer, is if your trailer has a a break away, pull the pin to engage the wheel brakes whenever you park it and take it with you.

You can add as many chains or locks as you want, if a thief really wants the trailer he / they will get it. BUT, adding a lot of chains / locks does help by making it longer for them to remove all that. Thieves want to get in and out as soon as possible. So, yes adding chains is good but wont prevent theft all the time.

How far off of 548 and what brand locks?

They move the trailer or just pull that smoker out from wher it was. I imagine two guys could move that smoker by theirselfs pretty easy. Man that sucks man. I have a 3800 lb Camaro blocking my 16 footer in right off 548 with no fence. My neighbors are nosey as hell though & pretty sure if someone drove all the way back on my property I would be getting a call

The trailer in front was moved. The way the smoker was positioned with other things around it that's the only way you could have gotten it out.

Damn! That sucks. Only thing different is a trailer lock & chains though the rims. I keep a trailer lock on mine. But after hearing this Im gonna go run chains on it now

Fucking thieves! Royse City is my area, I always block my trailers in with my car for this reason
