I see he had a gun, and could have cause harm to anyone he ran into, but it's still very hard to justify shooting some one in the back and killing them. The next guy might reconsider running, knowing he'll be shot and killed, and instead start shooting inside the place, possibly killing others.

Perhaps the next guy will see that robbing innocent people at any establishment is a dickhead move and one that could easily cost him his life.

Seems pretty easy to justify shooting somebody in the back.

It may be hard for you, or any democrat, to justify, but if you committ a violent felony, you take chances.

Not a democrat sir, but I am a rational thinker. It just seems cops like being the judge and executioner. That is scary. You shoot every criminal, you're asking for more violent crimes. Dumb shits will continue to rob, rape, and pillage no matter how many of their successors are popped. It seems this will just increase a criminals willingness to go out shooting, because he figures he's dead anyway.

Ah well, I'm glad there's one less felon around, but I fear for a rising trend in violent crimes.

If you are willing to rob people at gun point, then you shouldn't have a problem with a cop using his gun to do his job. Fair is fair. The cop should be rewarded for not only saving the lives of the employees, but also for saving our judicial system a chunk of change.

If you're going to go through the hassle of dressing up like a monkey, and holding up a KFC at gunpoint. Then you should be prepared to fire your gun if necessary. He was not willing to go through with his plan, and died tired. At the point he was at, you gotta commit, and the cop cannot expect that he won't.
