So to say that 3500 members have moved is not by any means the majority. What's the hold up for the rest of them?

right now, it says 581 listed members 1721 guests

I would easy believe 15,000 active members

If a topic caught, you could see 250,000 views in just a few days easy

    3500 members moved ..

Looks to most of the crew the site owner is doing damage control

Must have it in the contract ..

    He is failing

That's an interesting take. Wouldn't I "own" the intellectual property in my own posts? I use intellectual loosely of course.

Pirate is a huge site, and the old owners took 6+months making sure that contractually VS couldnt fuck up pirate. This is why the old owners tried to migrate all the users away from red star support (which solely supported pirate) to blue star support (a portion supports the off road community).

VS has tried to mess with the site several times by adding even more ads, and pirate's community has been very fast to pull in the old owners (who are still active with the site). VS has also tried to push ads from disreputable corps and the contract that was established even takes care of some of that.

The contract even has a content clause to protect the gun forum, but VS didnt have much issue with it because its just more ad traffic (VS leans to the antigun side)

I need to create a car website that has no method for filtering out bots. Once it's nice and filled up with BS members, I'll sell it to them.

Why can't I state my opinion?

You absolutely can, within the forum rules. If your opinion is of something other than the thread topic, if you become argumentative or insulting, etc., then your post may get deleted and you may get an infraction.
