I just received my financing license for my car lot. It's a big step for me, venturing into the tote the note business. My plan is to have people pay off their notes quickly and to not completely rape them on the prices. I also plan to run GPS locators in all of the cars, just to save the hassle. Anyone have advice for me? Like the name of a good repo man for starters.

Lol, thanks. Just that tote the note guys are known for being scumbags. I will at least make sure they are running right.Originally posted by mstng86 View Postyou didn't seem that bad the other day.
make that money!!
Did you turn around and sell Becky already?
I would have to be the stealth guy, I'm not big enough or intimidating enough to be a repo man.Originally posted by crapstang View PostGood money!
Be your own repo man!
Yeah, once they processed it, everything went smooth. Thanks DJ.Originally posted by Baron View PostDidnt take long to process once they got around to it then, nice!

Will do. Thanks.
I'm pretty much already that guy. I know why most lots are shady, they can't afford the mechanic work. I don't let a car go that I don't feel comfortable driving. My stuff is usually high miles and may not be the prettiest thing, but they won't have mechanical issues when they go out.Originally posted by Sgt Beavis View Postyup, tote the note guys are known as scum...
It only takes one guy to start changing that perception. So, be that guy.

We sold our 2002 Explorer to a guy who buys from private sales (Ebay, Craigslist) and uses them to stock James Woods' used car lots. No bullshit. No drama. Did exactly what he said he would. Showed up on time. Ran carfax. Checked values on kelly bb and made me a decent enough offer that I accepted his first number. He had me a check the next day when he picked the truck up. Moral is: there are good people in the car business and it was nice to finally meet that unicorn. So you are right, it takes just one guy.Originally posted by Sgt Beavis View Postyup, tote the note guys are known as scum...
