I am keeping my truck. Still need it for the shop and being everything is new on it I have no reason to get rid of it.

Don't blame you. Don't get me wrong, I love my D-max, but I miss my 90's chevy. Even though it was a v-6 5 speed (fullsize) I loved it. I searched far and wide for non-stripper 5 speed. It had 230k miles and rarely had an issue. In the 80k miles I put on it I put on a power steering hose, a coil and a module. Probably $100 in parts. What a killer truck.

There is lot price and internet price. They tried to sell the 300C to you at lot price. The SRT8 was probably sold at lot price or somewhere between internet and lot price. Or the buyer is on an extended test drive and they didn't want them to see what it was on the internet for and they raised the net price so they didn't find out.

They don't negotiate on "internet price"? If I see a car for $18k online, am I wrong thinking I can get it cheaper?

At the dealer I worked at, we didn't typically deal on internet price, 90% of the profit was cut out of the deal.

If you were to walk on the lot "cold" the salesman is going to start you at lot price which for us was 3-5k over internet price.

If you are looking at dealer prices, it is a safe assumption, however, each dealer is going to play the game a little different. We were one of the largest used car dealers in the area at the time. The largest of our 4 dealers sold 500-600 units per month, the other three combined sold 250-350 units/month. We put our lowest price out on the net, I sold to people a far away as Wisconsin and even had one guy fly in from Canada for a crossfire srt6
