Cheap modern luxobarge/wagon options

Good lord. Just looked at S8 pricing. Yeah, just slightly out of my range. Holy shit. I had no idea those things were so high priced.

A8's in the 2000's MSRP'd for $80k+ afaik, let alone an S model.. Definitely not cheap.

It's nice but I'd be leery of a Bimmer with high miles, especially the newer ones with iDrive.

I believe though the 7 series long wheel base is the iL, you can get a standard wheel base 740i.

The 7 series he had was an iL, I believe.

Oh I get that. Not on the same level, but my Suburban stickered for over $40k when it was new in 2005. I paid $12k for it in 2012 and mileage wasn't even excessive.

Didn't necessarily mean that model, but that car specifically. The one linked above is better. Still like the Audi better.
