Those are 2 different cars. Just like the 99-04 Mustangs, the later years of that body style have very small refinements over the previous years, with 01 being the pinnacle. Widescreen Nav, more appealing headlights, body colored lower cladding instead of flat black, etc etc. The 2001 740ia is IMO the best looking modern sedan, hands down. IA is a 3? inch shorter wheelbase that shortens back legroom from the iL. A stands for Sport, though it isn't in the badging. The ia as opposed to the iLa(which is what I had previously)also has the M-Sport Steering wheel. Engine in any of the variations is 4.4 Liter DOHC producing 282 horsepower and something like 320 torque.

Meh, $400 is what was quoted to me years ago for some project I was tinkering about with that never got off the ground. The real problem is the chrome trim instead of the shadowline. All that shit would be a pain to remove and paint. And the steering wheel sucks. This is why I want an A package car.
