Yep...I don't find it any more difficult to work on than a Mustang and the online support (DIYs, how-tos, etc) is incredible. I'd recommend getting an older laptop (I've got a 10+ y/o Gateway that I got for free) and load up TIS, INPA, WDS, etc so you have all the software tools to troubleshoot and code options. You'll need a $20 USB-to-OBDII cable and you'll be all set.

For parts, realoem.com has all the factory parts diagrams (to get PNs) and thebmwpartstore.com typically has the best pricing. Tischer (getbmwparts.com) and ECS Tuning are also good sources - ECS's site is awesome and has great pictures of almost everything.

    Good Luck and enjoy!

She is silky smooth and fun. I am thoroughly impressed. The wheels are super gay IMO. I like factory. So I'm looking for factory 17-19 inch wheels to replace.. These are just to gangsta for me.
Nice find! What did you pay for it?

Yeah, the car is pretty sweet, low miles too. It has some suspension issues that need to be addressed, then wheels, springs and fix the saggy headliner.

Yup! Start scouring eBay, or just pop the old stuff off and flat black it for the same effect.

Nice! lol, I was hoping you were going to say something about the wheels. Sport wheels, shadowline trim, tint, done.
