The private lake right next to us is actually fairly decent right now. Ray Roberts looks like it's usable, but I'm slightly scared of going out on that lake after what happened last year. We were traveling about 40mph, all was well, and we were in the middle of the Western finger (not close to the shore at all) when suddenly we are practically ejected out of our seats due to some sort of sand bar that couldn't be seen. We managed to power out of it barely, but we almost got stranded in the middle of the lake. I've had nothing but bad luck on that lake, so I'm sticking to the private one...Originally posted by Pokulski-Blatz View PostAll we have here are mud holes. I can't think of a reasonably decent lake in north texas.Originally posted by BuzzoSome dudes jump out of airplanes, I fuck hookers without condoms.

As much as I cut my teeth on north Texas lakes, I'd have to agree. The lakes here in norCal (when they have water in them) put 'em to shame in terms of beauty. Lake Orovile is a couple hours north, so we don't have the traffic that the DFW lakes do.Originally posted by Pokulski-Blatz View PostMethinks you don't know what a good lake looks like.
Still, I'd rather deal with the "crappy water in Lewisville or Lavon, than not be on the water at al.

I have been thinking about this.Originally posted by Pokulski-Blatz View PostNah. Like I said, I haven't seen a single lake in North Texas that comes close to what they have up north. All we have are man made mud holes.
Why did we stop making man made lakes in this area? Seems like the idea of making a lake stop being practice in the 60s or 70s

I only have skied in Missouri, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Texas lakes, so I've had to make due with what I can. As long as I can get some tight cuts in, the water is smooth, and it's not packed with people, I'm more than happy.Originally posted by BuzzoSome dudes jump out of airplanes, I fuck hookers without condoms.
