I'm going to use all my money to get my kid's bikes out of the pawn shop, I had to put them in there to buy groceries this week and bail my mom out of jail.

I was kinda wondering that myself. I don't think they did. People will buy ludacris, outright retarded stuff from used car dealers, for some reason. My sister somehow managed to smash the side of the bed of her 05 chevy truck. We sold the car at auction. 2 days later it shows up at some local shit car dealer, and he has it out on his lot where I drive by and see it. Same exact truck in the same exact condition.

A couple weeks go by, and I notice the truck always parked at this one gas station on the route I take from work to get home. So just out of curiosity, I go in and talk to the clerk. He says that yes he bought the truck from that dealer. I told him that my sister messed up the side of the truck, and he then tells me that the dealer had told him that it was fixed. I lean over and look at the window of the gas station, nope... truck is exactly the way I sold it. Just for clarification the conversation went something like

"Hey it looks like you bought my sister's old truck. Did you get it from that lot down the road?" "Yeah, got a pretty good deal on it so I bought it." "Looks like it still has that wrecked spot on the bed" "Yeah but they fixed it." "Well, it looks exactly like the way it did when I sold it." "Well the dealer told me they fixed it." "..."

How does this happen? How do you look someone in the eye and say "I fixed this" when its clearly still broken? And then, the guy actually believes this. I don't get it.

If a customer leaves my lot and they don't feel screwed over, a little part of me dies
