I'm baaaaaack.....
After a 6 month hiatus, I decided to check in and see what's been going on.
I'll have to admit that I made a few realizations during my absence.
1) This place can take up a LOT of your time
2) This place has some good people
3) This place is only as important as you make it
4) Take a break from it, and your PM box is jammed!
My participation will be very different than it has been in the past. I'm resetting the clock and will not be as active, or provide as much input or commentary as in the past.
During my hiatus, I did take up deer hunting (archery) and spent a lot of time in nature away from the electronic world. I also got to go wahoo fishing off of Louisiana (Venice) and caught my first 65 pound plus wahoo. One of the guys caught a 116 lb 79 inch wahoo. Talk about a strong fish!
I've also been watching a lot of high school baseball. One kid is on JV and one on Varsity. That's a lot of evenings away from home. I did get to see the oldest hit a 320' homer out of the park at Sam Houston High in Arlington.
I've also been busy with forms and paperwork for the oldest boy going to Tech in the fall.
It really makes you realize you are getting older when you will have an empty nest in 2 years.... Well, that and your body has different aches and pains from the years of use/abuse.
I was occasionally updated on board issues. Thanks for those calls and texts while I was gone.
