You want there to be class in war?

God I can only hope not all soldiers are so sensitive.

Some aren't as easy going about such things as you are. Better to be corrected here than being corrected by a vet with heavy PTSD.

That was a long day. 4 hours each way and I sat with one of my deceased friend's father and mother for 3 hours talking about him. It was hard and the memorial service was touching and the memorial itself is absolutely beautiful. Was very odd being within eyesight of the location of the shooting from a few days before though.

Think of everybody else being "naked" too.
As tiring as it is, thanks for getting over and serving with dedication. Glad ya made it out. Happy anniversary probably isnt on the classy list I'm sure for this event

I'm sure if Frost is ever offended by someones questions, he won't hezitate to make light. Funny others are bugged more than him. Lol.

Well boys and girls, awake and dressed and .... disarmed. That never feels right. No firearm, no ammo, no knife. I do, however, have my Gerber with me so that's something. May take a pen with me just in case. This being disarmed on base thing is a load of horse hockey.

I am never real sure of the best way to say this. I have many friends who served and have lost some of their closest brothers in arms. I thank you for your service and sacrifice, and that of your platoon. I am not too far down the road from you, I think I have mentioned it a time or two. Any time you need a hand, give me a holler.

There's a lot I have avoided dealing with in order to get 'better.' Tomorrow I find out exactly whom I've lost over the years and when they do roll call.... I've stood in those before and it rips your heart out. Anyone who doesn't know what it is, they form you up in your platoons and companies. The commander reads the roster out loud and as he reads your name you reply with "Here" or something similar. No problems. Then they come to the fallen and it's dead silent. They read it 3 times and then keep going. At the end, they play taps.

This should give you some idea.
I am familiar with it, my brothers platoon sent me the ceremony video that they held down range. Fucks me up every time.

Yes it is. There's a neat picture around here of me in Germany right after my surgery
