He did, a Wild Strawberry 92LX. I wanted to buy it. He claimed low mileage, but a carfax proved otherwise so I passed. He ended up selling it to an employee at the shop where he hung out I believe.Originally posted by cool cat View PostI remember Wild Bill/mach1molester used to have a clean hatch just like that one.
I don't think his was as nice as this one looks to be though. Ad says it needs a cam and a paint job. Wonder what else.

Looks real similar to one that a friend of mine owned back in the late 90's....check the passenger side floor pan for a significant metal repair.70' Chevelle RagTop

Mine had spent most of it's life sitting in the back yard of the original owner. It got stolen, recovered (wrecked) and put back together, then his 16 yo son took it out one night and wrecked it. It had a reassigned vin, but supposed to have had well under 100k on it. I spent a lot of time getting squeaks and rattles solved, getting the a/c blowing cold, rebuilt the t5, did a 5 lug conversion, etc. That was the car that brought be to DFWS, looking for parts.Originally posted by Rreemo View PostLooks real similar to one that a friend of mine owned back in the late 90's....check the passenger side floor pan for a significant metal repair."If I asked people what they wanted, they would have said faster horses." - Henry Ford

Kid 2 doors down from my parents house had this exact same car and lost traction in some standing water in our neighborhood and t-boned it sideways into a tree. Even caved in the roof. Kids dad went ahead and got it repaired. Wonder if anyone on here has owned it. lol

My buddies car was a really nice one back then...he fell victim to one of those idiots that doesn't know what a yield sign is....got ran off the road and ended up on top of one of those huge boulders that businesses tend to put out front. Ironically, it didn't hurt it much other than the big hole in the passenger floor.
We pounded it out, welded it up, and sprayed some undercoating over it....but it would certainly be noticeable still from the underside.
I think that was around ~98' or so...the car only had 30-something-K on it back then.70' Chevelle RagTop
