Make that cocktail burn a bit, let them be conscious and feel their heart stop beating. Dont want that to happen to you? Dont do something deserving death row.[/QUOTE]

This is my opinion 100% . The actual death is the outcome of a punishment that should strike fear in the hearts of those who seek to do wrong . Being dead is our way of making sure they don't do it again . I want them to be afraid to do it in the first place .

I wouldnt say torture is accurate. Im not saying keep them alive and make them suffer, Im just saying that passing away peacefully in your sleep isnt punishment that people fear.

situations like this is where i believe an eye for an eye. I believe if you bring back public hangings and stoning for criminal activity, it will deter some of these idiots. If you steal, i think your hand should be cut off. If i work my ass off for the nice things i have in life, and you steal from me, you deserve to be missing something like i would be.

cruel and unusual doesnt include pain. Being in prison is painful.

I dont think you and I agree on this deal. From what I can tell, you feel that death is a horrible thing, and a huge deterrent for criminals.

I see it a bit differently. I think they prefer death to living in prison, and I feel like death should be the last thing they want. It is a punishment, after all. I think it shouldnt be pleasant. Make that shit burn a bit. I bet they would rather get life in prison than to suffocate.

so you are saying its cruel for him to die in the manner he did, but that he should not suffer like she did?

Is it bad that I care less when the victim is ugly? I mean, I still care but just less.

MY way of death penalty would be to take them into the forest, hang them upside down by their ankles from a tree with their wrists cuffed...make a small cut on their neck, and let the bears have at em!
they'd probably pass out before the bears could do damage.
