My wife USED to do this. Over the years I have convinced her that I am ALWAYS right and a genius too. I still have to remind her every now and then; arguing with me is pointless, since she will find out eventually that I was right all along.

I will never understand why it works this way but it does.

The problem is not drilling in the "I told you so" moments. My wife tries to keep track of the times when I am wrong about something, so once or twice a year, and it has made her realize she should listen to me more. Prime example; she wanted to go to that FT Worth main street art thing a couple weeks ago. I was against it from the beginning and made it known, she wouldn't let up about it so I conceded to go, it was fucking terrible just as I expected and she figured it out pretty quickly too. She was admitting to a poor choice before we even left and now I never have to go to one of those fucking things again!
