Oh and she brought this nice gem up last night "well remember the last time we had problems?" " I had spoken with a lawyer and I"ll get custody of the kids because you have a bum leg!" That's when I said ok that sounds like all I need to know and went to bed. This woman just now got her DL not a year ago she doesn't have a job or work skills of any kind. My 10 year old son can spell better than her.

Originally posted by Frank View PostDamn, I should be thanking my lucky stars. My wife talked to her gyno about her bad PMS and the doc prescribed "happy pills" as we call them. She and I both know she needs one now and then. It helped a lot, but she was willing to listen to seek treatment. You CANNOT bring this up in the moment. You have to weather the storm for the few days and then calmly talk to her about it. Luckily her mom and grandma all knew about how bad she would get and pushed her to talk to her doctor. Luckily she never threw anything, smashed anything, or threatened with any violence. She has never gotten jealous if I looked at another woman or spoke to one. She gives me "the eye" sometimes, but she doesn't go into any of those stupid jealous rages I hear about. She seldom ever bitches at me, if anything I am the one bitching at her. She is the most forgetful person I know. I have to keep up with all events and constant reminding of anything that needs to be done. Thank goodness I handle all the finances. It pisses me off sometimes how she can't remember to take care of the most basic business sometimes and makes all kinds of excuses that it isn't her fault. She has gotten better. She gets a $10 Virgin Mobile phone for $20 a month no contract because she lost a couple of phones and can't remember to keep them charged, turned on, or carried on her person. I guess I am pretty lucky.
I'm wise enough to know that nearly all women are that bad or worse, or there are the subservient ones who don't have a spine or brain. And then there are ugly chicks, cheaters, liars, etc. No one is perfect. I am thankful for the good stuff about her, and it outweighs the other stuff.
I wouldn't be shocked if my old lady smashed something. As long as it's not something of mine, I'd just laugh at her.

Those scared of divorce: Not gonna lie, it really sucks. But just like anything else in life, one day you just sort of "wake up" about it and it recedes into the past like a half remembered dream of someone else's life. I don't even recognize the person I was back then. I'm currently in one of those stretches of "This is the best time of my life" and I'm still changing every day, my perspectives disassembling and reassembling constantly. It may seem like the world is ending when you're going through it, but for a lot of people, it may end up being the best thing that ever happened to you.

More than likely depressed to the point of it being necessary for medication. She needs help.

I think Facebook and social media also makes women crazy. For example, me and my wife don't have any kids, anytime some old friends from high school post about having kids she gets bitchy. Or if the post something that's better than ours, house, cars, vacation, she gets bitchy. Women expect way to much, when I think they just be thankful they have someone. Like someone else said I worry about the rebuild after divorce, losing friends and I love some of her family. Right now we're fine, but 6 months ago I was ready to bounce. To many peaks and valleys in marriage.
