The man couldn't have been too "Furious" or he would have been letting his rifle do the talking. I would not convict someone who killed an officer or two immediately after their dog was killed by the officer/officers. Jury Nullification advocate here.

At some point a very hard lesson needs to be taught and LE needs to find out that they are not on the side of public opinion when it comes to killing peoples pets as part of their job. One day some "Cops" are going to kill the dog of a PTSD suffering Navy Seal and he is going to lay waste to an entire department.

That's been my point for quite a while. They shoot your dog, they consider it property and no big deal. You shoot THEIR dog and that's killing a police officer and you're going to prison if they don't just gun you down right there.

It doesn't matter what the media tells the public. The guys with the badges will know what happened and will alter their behavior if enough damage in done to them.
