The black one isn't used anymore because someone never changed out the filter and it molded across the inside. But nobody touches it and it just sits.

What kills me about all this is the absolute beating it takes to get anything resolved. I've been working on an issue for two years. One single problem. I've got hundreds of hours invested. Thousands of conference calls. I finally threw my hands up, told Corporate "fuck it, ill do it my goddamn self"; and spent all morning doing manual labor myself to get it done. Everyone is so fucking afraid to grow a pair and make a decision these days.

Building engineers are going around and replacing light switches for every office to auto turn on/off lights when the office is occupied.

I (as well as a shitton of others) don't turn on the lights, so they are actually spending money in order to use more electricity and spend even more money.

That means there will be a WFR at the end of the month to compensate for the increased costs.

What kills me is seeing the "new initiatives" that roll out. You know the firm just paid some consultants $XXX Millions to implement a new tool or process, that really doesn't improve anything and is replaced in 2 years. Or they are determined to make it work, so after about 24 software versions (after going live), they kind of sorta haphazardly make it work.

I'm not part of a corporation. We have under 20 employees, and I'm not the least bit worried about my position in the company. We represent corporations, however. They're the ones that can't make a decision.
