    It is the old body. I hate the new ones too and am really glad I bought it. What is strange is that I don't mind the look of the new Tahoes, the square back looks ok to me on the shorter length but the Suburbans just look like shit to me.

    I have an 08 LTZ 4x4 tahoe and love it. The 5.3 is a tried a true motor. Bought it at 80k miles and now it has close to 130k miles. We've had to replace the oil sending unit. That's it. Other than that, I've just put gas in it and changed the oil. I'm a Ford guy and really wanted the Expy but the plug cannon problem had me worried. The 5.3 is bullet proof.
