As far as I know - you want your rain to the north via the east fork on Trinity to fill Lavon. Get all that water into the trinity, it comes to your lake. I think that lake lavon has some sort of an anti rain shield in place. It avoided getting rain back when I lived there - over and over and over again, and I see it's still up to it's usual antics. One place you can count on it never raining is lake lavon.
I'll bet the lake lavon beach/lakebottom with the tall grass is still there - you could see it on the bridge that crosses the lake on 380. We used to crack jokes about someone needing to mow the lake bottom.
