A condenser is a capacitor, but it was called a condenser - ie: replace the points and condenser. Electronic ignitions got rid of that task.

You only picked one of those up one time before you learned that an unattended condenser = possible land mine

Someone mentioned a magneto, don't just pickup a vertex and spin it while holding it, it will shock the shit out of you.

HA! We had a mag that we thought was bad, so my father and uncle decided they wanted to test it, my uncle held the mag and told my father to operate it with a drill. It started shocking my uncle and my dad was laughing too hard to let the trigger go on the drill for a few seconds.

When setting the timing, it's important to avoid the ground post and the post in the cap where it transfers the electricity to the rotor, it WILL shock the fuck out of you through the cap. Gloves help, but not much.

When I was a kid i was cranking and cranking on a mower that would not start. It was hot as hell and I was sweating like crazy. Finally I got the damn thing started and I reached down and twisted the throttle wide open to rev the shit out of it, whereupon the spark plug wire jumped off. Not thinking and with one hand grounded on the handle to the mower I reached down and grabbed the plug wire with the other hand to stick it back on, and with my sweaty hands I got the shit shocked out of me until the engine spun down and stopped. Good times
