Why would anyone eat canned fruit?

I think it's hard for people to find that balance of buying what you think you might want to eat days later without worrying about it going bad.

Sometimes I'll buy some fruit thinking I'll eat it soon but end up throwing it out because I didn't eat it soon enough. I still don't buy canned fruit though.

Because if I buy fresh fruit I have to eat it within a few days or it will go bad.. If it's in a can there is no rush.

The only fruit I really eat out of a can is peaches and fruit cocktail.. Only because I grew up eating them out of a can. And it's been a while since I have had either.

There is plenty of fresh fruit available in DFACs. It's about the only thing that doesn't come out of a bag. They don't even have real potatoes anymore.
