I miss the old 5.0's. I currently have a Z06 but feel naked without a pushrod stang. I agree with talisman, the LX hatch is the best one. I had a 92 notch but had to sell it because of college, sad day. 9k is steep for that GT, but if it's close to what you've been looking for bring cash and don't be surprised if he'd take 8k. Personally I'd bring cash and get the LX, paint the mouldings to the color of the car and stick some ponys on it.
why not look for a 93 cobra if you're willing to spend that on a fox?

Guest repliedLX Hatch over a GT any day of the week. I had a 1990 LX Hatch I was converting to a 5 speed when I joined here. Red with black moulding like that one. It also had black interior. Had that car for longer than most of my other Mustangs. IMO a non GT Hatch is the fox to own, excluding a '93 Cobra of course.

I love the GT's, had a coupe, never had the LX hatch.
I know there will be more so I'm trying to not jump on the gt as I think it's over priced. I think it's around 8k in value. I told him that and he told me not to even come look at it as he would just store it before selling for 8. The car is close enough to you guys I don't want to give out too many details as someone easily could jump on it.

Engine broken in on Valvoline dino oil and then changed to Mobile 1 full synthetic. Oil changed every 3 to 5K miles. Only PureOne filters used.
Absolutely no rust
Hood was painted and blended from hitting a turkey. Still stock hood as damage was not significant enough to require replacement.
Mods:
1.72 FRPP roller rockers (original equipment included)
FRPP ofroad pipe (original equipment included)
TSW Blade wheels (original equipment included)
Newtires.(original equipment included)
Air pump removed (original equipment included)
UD pulleys
He was asking 7500 for his LX before and believe it is the same price. I am getting very detailed photos soon but have a few to share. The car was undercoated the first week he had it. Car has been garaged it's whole life.
The LX is a 12 hr drive where the GT is only 4.
So what do I do? The GT with more miles but KICKASS black interior or go with the lower miles car with gray and the 5 spd?

Imagine how many fun-loving miles you could have already had in it instead of beating yourself up over it. If you have any regrets afterwards, just sell it. If you regret pulling the trigger later, you might not have the same opportunity.

So here is the dilemma now. I'm basically buying a car but can wait for the right one. I love the above mentioned 91 GT.
About a year ago I had a guy contact me from WV. He said he had an LX he was looking to sell. I kept his contact info and information about the car in my email... almost dreaming in a sense.
Well since I am about to pull the trigger... I said WTF and emailed him. His car is still for sale as he never listed it. Description below.

It's not about the cost, it's about living the dreams I had 16-17 years ago now that I have the means to do so.
If you don't LOVE foxbody cars, there's nothing a guy like me can say or do to make it make sense to you and that's ok by me. You do what you like, I'll do what I like. The money and time may never make sense to others, but to me... it's worth it. I doubt I'd ever sell my coupe but then again I've ALWAYS wanted a 93 cobra so who knows. Unless I can have both, it'd be a really tough call.

I agree that 9k is a ton for a gt. That is more inline with similar coupe prices over the last year. I know a guy who snagged a local bimini coupe with similar miles for 7100. I've always wanted black interior... Balck tweed looks so good. That is a huge draw as well.
