It's amazing, this 'perception' thing. Value is in the eye of the beholder. Some folks fancy themselves as wheelers and dealers but when they try to finagle on something that they somehow imprint in their minds that they MUST have.... All bets are off.

Look up the highest paid price on paintings. Some of the shit going for 100 million dollars+ belongs to a few artists I've barely even heard of. The collector is the key: much like a car, it's an unobtanium. If someone will pay, their colors will show.

Milk that cat, Forrest. It has nipples.

    Meow.

lol, I've got the cleanest fucking '06 F250 lariat I've ever seen... loaded out, sunroof, chrome package, one owner, low hours, just fucking minty sweet

I had a guy interested and he had a couple trucks I wanted. I made him a strong offer. Very strong. Like leaving a couple grand on the table strong, but I had spots for both of his trucks already, so fuck it. I'll make the two grand on them and everybody's happy.

He had the audacity to TRY to nit-pick my truck with the phrase, "it's really nice, it just needs a couple little things" and then asked if I would take $1500 less than my price "cash money right now" (like I would accept sea shells or something?)

This is after he jerked me around for two days on it.

I told him I'd sleep on it. Emailed him the perfectly clean CarFax I'd promised him the following afternoon and told him I had one other guy interested and I'd let him know if it fell through.

He blew me the fuck up right then and then the following morning.

Now I'm going to ask even more than I had planned and I bet I get it.

I am so damn manic. We left it $500 difference in what I wanted to sell for and what he wanted to spend last night. He didnt agree to my price...but said he was serious.

I went ahead and drove the car today for a bit before hearing from him later this evening .The thing is so nice, tight, rattle free that I told him I wasn't going to sell it. He has been blowing my phone up trying to talk since then.

I almost feel crazy turning it down...

That's a nice coupe for sure. I have heard rumblings of Grape's car for a long time... but never sells it.

I'd buy it in a heartbeat if I didn't plan to gut it like a pig.

Thanks but I am in Kansas. Used to be stationed in TX.

Cashiers check would leave me with cash in hand for another purchase. Withdrawing cash from usaa is a pain in the butt.

Well I don't have a brick and mortar bank. I use USAA with no physical location. I can't just walk into my bank and cash it. Maybe I could at another bank but I doubt a random bank would let me cash such a large cashier's check. Maybe they would???

Don't you normally wait for those to clear? I thought the bank puts a hold on them until they clear a few days later.
