Nice. That warehouse is awesome. I always wanted to live in something like that when I was younger.

Figured I would ad some pics.

Trip was pretty damn great. Flew into San Diego, stayed three nights there. Rode up to LA on my rented bike, about 135 miles. Spent a night and afternoon in LA. Took a 10 hour train ride to San Fran. The train ride was absolutely incredible. About 4-5 hours is right on the coast. Then Amtrak lost my bike in Oakland, which left me stranded at 11pm, having to hitch hike to get into San Francisco. I spent the next afternoon waiting on the bike until 1pm. Rode around a little and flew out the next day.
The people in California sure are different. I very much enjoyed the trip.
I did it relatively cheap, my hostel in San Diego was right in downtown and was $25 a night.

Setting out to leave San Diego for my two day ride to LA (staying the night in San Clemente)

Ride was on the coast the entire way

Had a buddy that bought a warehouse in south downtown LA and lives in it. He was gone but someone met me and gave me a key. Pretty rad place. I wish the panorama was better.
    Outside his place

    Venice Beach

    Train ride with $5 beers

    San Fran.

I went into an automobile museum.
this crazy asshole built this car and would drive across the continent non stop.
He could change any tire while moving.
Had a mini bar, a toilet, and ironing board, a projector, a record player, a water fountain in the tail light.
At first it was pretty hoaky, but the more I look it actually became fascinating. I have several other pics of the car.

Spirit tried their damndest to ruin the memory of our honeymoon, never again will I even consider them, assuming that they are still in business.

Sleeper cabins are pretty small, and the mattresses suck. Going to sleep took extra time because of the ride of the train

    Awesome!

Personally, I would rethink that. There's just too much cool stuff to see and do along the way. Have a great trip man.

The park on Santa Monica's beach was a blast. There were so many people from around the world there as well. I was there for business and rented a SUV and just people watching was a blast. Highway one is fun as well. Have a good time.
Fuckin 101? I was thinking it would be a bit cooler. I wont mind the heat too much.
I'm looking forward to the people. I'm staying in mixed room hostels so I'm sure i'll meet come folks.

Now I'm having to figure out my bike situation.
I'm looking at rental places, but it maybe a little cheaper to actually buy a bike when I get to SD and take it with me along the way and just dump it, or sell it very cheaply in San Fran.
