I will not watch the video, but... I would like to think that if I really believed I was not going to survive, that I would not cave and make statements like that knowing it would make no difference. But who knows what I would be willing to do or say after 2 years in captivity under conditions that may have been hell. Probably pretty much anything, depending on how they presented it.

I can honestly say that if the proposition was: "Say this, or we will torture you for another 2 years. If you say it, we will kill you now", I would probably be willing to say whatever they wanted me to, as would most humans.

Everyone will break at some point.. It's not a matter of if, just a matter of when.

Trying to armchair quarterback anyone's actions under those circumstances is just ridiculous. Especially by those whose worst experience to that point is a close call in a car accident.

In 2001 before I started carrying. I had a some crazy guy come out of nowhere and put a 38 special up against my four head. I thought I was being robbed at first I pulled out my wallet. To give it to him he said he doesn't want my money he wants to kill me. For no reason at all. It only lasted about 10 seconds. Till one of his buddy's came and saved my life.

I don't know if he was just trying to scare me or what.
But until you're in that situation you can't call people someone A pussy. human instinct for self-preservation kicks in. And you will do or say anything to stay alive. I was so frozen The thought of grabbing the gun from the guy didn't even come to mind. Because it happened so fucking fast.

I have seen a few beheading videos and don't really care to see another one. There are decent muslims in the middle east and I am not advocating genocide, but the only way to defeat the extremists is to kill every one of the extremists. Unfortunately I am afraid this fight will end up being brought to our borders due to our very lax enforcement and that scares the hell out of me. I would almost rather just see a civil war than a war in our borders with islam; a civil war would at least have a chance of seeing both sides acting somewhat civilized and respectful. There were horrors in the civil war, but I have never read anything about either side hacking POWs heads off with dull knives.

I watched it and that shit seemed like he was reading from some fucking cue cards at a Jay Leno show..You could tell that it wasn't coming right off the top of his head..They don't show the actual beheading on the one I watched from reddit..Just a picture after it's all said and done..Not near as bad as the cartel one from Mexico..

Foley was liberal who believes that Islam is a peace loving religion. Frontpagemag had this to say regarding Foley:
