Right. We thought my son had either Autism or Asperger's disorder, but after seeing several specialists, he has neither. He does have a form of sensory processing disorder. A lot of sensitivities to sights, sounds, smells, feels and tastes. Something that doesn't quite jive with him right, we'll have a Rain Man episode. Most of the time, he just acts differently. Many of his issues can be controlled by diet. You can't tell there are any issues with him when he is truckin through the zone.Originally posted by Cooter View PostI think his spot on the autism spectrum helped him in that regard
There are times when he will seclude himself from everyone and be the happiest kid. No biggie. He does exhibit an unusual level of skill in mathematics. He is 6 years old and works a 4th grade curriculum with his older sister. He's about on normal pace with everything else, though.
It's cool to watch him use an abacus like a calculator and sometimes busts off answers faster than most adults.

The closest he got was stealing veggies from peoples gardens and farms, and eating roadkill according to the article. But he did mention moose hunting with his father and lived near a pond/lake so the author may have not included it in the articleOriginally posted by CJ View PostTrue, but the story reads as though he depended 100% on the food he stole. I didn't see anywhere they mentioned him hunting or supplementing his survival with other things. I may have missed it.
