Yeah you're right. I've been watching manheim and I'm seeing sub 50k cars selling for around 18k or so. That's where I'd like to be. MMR falls between 16 and 18 on the GS models. It looks like the LS models are going for mid 20's. I'd have to drive one to see if I want that much more room. Right now the wife has an Avalon, and I believe the LS is the same chassis."When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." -Benjamin Franklin

That's about right. Generally they will offer you a few thousand below auction so they can cut it loose without a loss if they can't move it. Around that price is tempting, but I'm going to guess they might come in a little lower this time around. If they do let me know I might be interested for the right price. I'll give you more than trade+tax savings almost certainly.Originally posted by mardyn View PostMine = literally driven by little old(er) school teacher.
They offered me $15K trade (plus the sales tax credit) last Spring against a new Toyota, I'm hoping for similar numbers again at this point.
PM me your email if you want more pics.

You may already know about this but you can check dealer service history on any Lexus vin here.
I forgot to mention that on the GS you would want to confirm the valve spring and cam gear recalls have been done. I think there is also a fuel rail seal that needs replacing.
Again, stay away from the 300.

Precisely the reason I'm not in the European market. My brother has owned nothing but Audi's for years, but I can't stomach the parts cost.Originally posted by War Machine View PostYeah I could resell it for close to 30. Ol lady wants it so....
You'll love your Lexus. BMW Mercedes Audi all are nice but no where near as cheap to maintain or repair"When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." -Benjamin Franklin
