That's a loaded question. A lot of his private collection is in good enough shape to be considered "new", except for the year made part. I was lucky enough to take a tour of one of his buildings a few years back, he has some cool stuff. what is being offered at the auction is just scratching the surface of what he has.

"He has over 500 cars and most of what he is selling are the mistakes that he bought when he started collecting. I’ve even learned that lesson the hard way. There are a few good cars sprinkled in but most are resto mods or cars of lesser quality or non matching, etc. I didn’t register to bid but will probably go out on Friday for a while."

Some of his concept cars are ridiculous. A classmate of mine and Don's from Asset ended up working for him doing maintenance on them, and he said Sam had a GT90.

Oh, for sure. I know he has at least 5 Ford GTs, several of which are sub-10 mile cars still in factory plastic. He's keeping the 'keepers', as it were.
