Never claimed we are gods, I claimed we are held to stricter standards with people that don't have constitutional protections and where we have to balance between winning hearts and minds in war zones, cops are uparmoring and doing no knock warrants, killing pets and innocents in cold blood with no repercussions or at the most, they get fired to go get another job. Rarely do you see cops, who shoot someone in the back of the head, go to prison.Originally posted by jewozzy View PostThe argument is with frosts assessment of theilitary being gods and police wanting to be them. Like I said when I made the post it didn't have to do with the topic at hand.I wear a Fez. Fez-es are cool

Also a valid point. If cops want to play soldier (even those who are ex military) then they should go be a soldier. An officer is meant to be bound by the constitution, assume innocent until proven guilty and use the least amount of force necessary to enforce a legal arrest. They should ensure the address is correct before entering property they do not own and come down hard on bad cops, forcing them from the profession. This whole theory of "It's only a very small percentage" may be correct but police close ranks around bad ones and police unions protect scumbags at the taxpayer expense. The call for accountability should be loudest from those wearing the badge.Originally posted by jewozzy View PostYou and I will never agree on it. Holy shit. No wonder cops are killing people all the time.Originally posted by jewozzy View PostSo the officers serving the warrant should've allowed the home owner to potentially shoot them?
Better you than me, if that was my door you busted down on the word of a fucking junky.
I have no ill will towards you, but it is a natural reaction to protect your property. I get woken up at 3am by someone entering my home, it isn't going to be a pretty sight for anyone, myself included. Nor should I be expected to remain calm, and not defend my property.Originally posted by BradMBut, just like condoms and women's rights, I don't believe in them.Originally posted by LeahIn other news: Brent's meat melts in your mouth.

Bingo. And it's a far cry from it. Instead of calling for accountability, they defend them. No need to look any further than this board for a plethora of proof.Originally posted by Forever_frost View PostThe call for accountability should be loudest from those wearing the badge.Originally posted by BradMBut, just like condoms and women's rights, I don't believe in them.Originally posted by LeahIn other news: Brent's meat melts in your mouth.

I get that and agree but the officers serving the warrant are generally not the officer that goes to the judge to get the warrant. Somewhere in this case assuming the media isn't telling half truthes information was not given.Originally posted by bcoop View PostHoly shit. No wonder cops are killing people all the time.

Then those serving the warrant should be questioning the guys who get the warrant and actually have eyes on to check to ensure everything syncs up. With as many people leave their home every day, there are very limited instances that there should ever be a no knock. People leave their home, you detain them in their driveway or on the road away from it and THEN execute the search warrant. No APC's or body armor or breaching required and no body count.Originally posted by jewozzy View PostI get that and agree but the officers serving the warrant are generally not the officer that goes to the judge to get the warrant. And what happens when a chase starts and the person wrecks out killing others?Originally posted by Forever_frost View PostThen those serving the warrant should be questioning the guys who get the warrant and actually have eyes on to check to ensure everything syncs up. You mean someone who runs from a routine traffic stop? Probably the same thing that happens when a gunfight happens and those rounds the cops fire start punching through innocent homes. Would you like reports of cops dumping over a hundred rounds into a car where two people sat with a vehicle in park and rounds entered homes inches away from sleeping children?Originally posted by jewozzy View PostAnd what happens when a chase starts and the person wrecks out killing others?
I can play "what if's" if you really like. Tell me, what is the punishment for cops that don't check their backdrop and their rounds injure someone else.I wear a Fez. Fez-es are cool
