i only have one, as i am not married and have never experienced the birth of a child...
my most epic moment was on May 2, 1998, at Camp Pendleton, California. it was after a long and very trying 3 months at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot and at Camp Pendleton. it was upon completion of the "Crucible", at which point you are on top of a mountain they call the Grim Reaper. they have a ceremony where they play the Lee Greenwood song Proud to be an American, and they present the new Marines with their first Eagle, Globe, and Anchor. this is the first time in the process of becoming a Marine that recruits are actually referred to as Marines. i cried uncontrollably...
