Hilton does part time and full time work at home customer service, reservations and other jobs.

Does not pay very well but you do get benefits after x amount of time. Also some nice hotel perks.

That is what I am currently doing as a job.

I make well into 6 figures working from home 90% of the time... I have an office that I can go into if I want but don't have to. I've been in IT for about 16 years now, but only in the last 3-6 years have I really started working from home. It's a mentality shift in my area that I'm happy about as all I really need to do my job is my laptop, interwebz connection and a phone. That said, if your friend has no history with IT stuff she'd likely need to take 3-9 months to get some certs for something like Cisco, Microsoft, F5, etc. to be able to get a noob job that may or may not allow her to work from home immediately.

Same here. I work from home roughly 50% of the time, but it's not likely she could get into this without a BS, experience, clean background, and good work experience.

The stupid part is that I'm expected to drive into FTW and work from my work desk the other 50% of the time, and have no interaction with the folks I'm there to support.

I know most of the work from home stuff is scam central. Buyer beware.

My wife works from home for Hilton taking reservations. Its not a bad gig. It has sales incentives. I think its like 12 bucks an hour, or something like that.

How does someone get into something like that?

Friend of mine is going back to school and will be taking a load of classes. She will have to quit her normal job to attend school and in conversation the topic came up about work from home jobs. Are there actually any legitimate work at home jobs just to make some extra cash for gas and food? I always thought it was just some sort of scam.
