Overspray, dirt under paint, and misaligned panels. Oh, and they are not actually working with us on the previous rental car, the owner stated (via his manager who doesn't have the authority to do much of anything) that if we pay the deductible (it's one of those places that waves your deductible), that he would pay the rental. Which is both approximately the same amount. we are now fighting with them for a rental for the couple days they'll need to fix their fuckups.

and now i am going to ask the asshole question, what kind of work did you expect with a place that is giving up probably five hundred in profit on jobs?
what insurance company sent you to this shop?
Not sure how long that shop has been there, but their business card claimes they have been around 20 years. Also claims they have free loaner vehicles so who knows lol
Ultimately we left the cherokee there to get done right, and they did give us a rental for two days. Kind of weird though because the lady (manager) just gave us 85 bucks cash for the rental and we went and got it ourselves. She told us if it took longer than two days she would give us more money so who knows.

I'd be leery of anyone offering to save your deductible. I've always heard with roofing, it is illegal to advertise or offer to save the customer's deductible. I know people still do it, but supposedly it's highly illegal and considered fraudulent.
So how do body shops get away with it? There is a place on 35 somewhere between Walnut Hill & 635 that has it plastered on the side of their shop. I think it might have previously been the Earl Scheib building.
To save on a deductible they are either giving up profit (not likely, margins aren't like they used to be) or they are defrauding the insurance company, by getting paid to replace parts that they don't actually replace and that's where the "savings" comes in. Fuck a bunch of both scenarios.Originally posted by BradMBut, just like condoms and women's rights, I don't believe in them.Originally posted by LeahIn other news: Brent's meat melts in your mouth.

Man, all I can tell you is you get what you pay for. I help with deducts where I can, but I never blindly say I can eat it all. Hope it works out for you.
You help save deducts by passing on parts discounts to the customer or dropping your labor rate. If youre cutting corners to save deducts, then youre doing it wrong.....

Yeah the cash thing was weird and shady, I dont know what was going on with that. Just ready to be done with this place. If the car still aint right after this might just take it somewhere else and eat the cost eventually

Sounds like a real fucking shit hole shop.
You seem to have your shit together, well except for that fiasco in the canyon, but that really wasn't your (ya'lls) fault. What made you take your 2014 JC there in the first place?Originally posted by SilverbackLook all you want, she can't find anyone else who treats her as bad as I do, and I keep her self esteem so low, she wouldn't think twice about going anywhere else.
