Naw, just the spillway. But that means the flood control on the Red River they've been doing will be moot when it does go over.

The oasis at Joe pool

Drove out there yesterday and there were a few lifted trucks playing in the flooded parking lot. There were cops there just watching. I decided against it, considering there are parking blocks and grass medians in there, and I didn't want to fuck anything up. The cops actually blocked off traffic into the lot at the road maybe 3 minutes after I got in. We left anyway.

For what it's worth, the Oasis floats, so it should be okay. The water is maybe 1-2 feet deep in the parking lot, so it would think it will go down before long. Then again, that lake doesn't move much, even during the drought, and if we keep getting rain...

Then, we drove over to Cedar Hill State Park to look around. Several campsites were completely underwater, and by that I mean the picnic tables were totally submerged and even the tops of the pavilions and the lantern poles were only sticking out by maybe a foot. It was crazy. Some people still had campers and tents that were touching water. The floating walkway from the marina to the boat slips was fubarred - mostly underwater and what was sticking out was crushed into the stationary part. Lost of people unable to get to their boats.

Anything that floats on the surface or just below. With all the creeks, streams, rivers, etc flooded and spilling in, they're bringing in downed trees and limbs. Stuff big enough to damage a boat hull, destroy a lower unit, or just play havoc on a boat or jet ski.

Be careful a lot of floaters out. There are still a ton out on eagle mountain.

I'd agree with you both. If we get much rain at all I don't see how it won't put us over. The Island at Highport Marina had the doors open and water running through it 2-3 feet deep Thursday, and Pelican's is clearing out today.

I've seen some big stuff on my end of the lake already, 10-12 inches in diameter and 15+ feet long. I'm on the West end off of 377, no telling what all has come in from the river.

I was out the other weekend fishing in my slip and you could hear them rising. Could not see squat in the water it was so filthy. Usually in the slip with lights on fishing, you see 10+ snakes. I only saw one because he swam under my whiz stream. I'm sure there were more.

Shad and catfish were easy pickins.

We got out on Whitney on Saturday Morning but didn't stay out long at all since the wind was howling. Surprisingly there wasn't much debris in the water but the level was still coming up steadily until we left last night.
