I think what he is saying is the average American does not recognize the ZL-1 Camaro, but a Z-28 Camaro is recognized by almost everybody, not just enthusiasts.

Pardon me professor but go up to the average person on the street and ask them what a ZL-1 camaro is. They will look at you strange. Only diehard car people understand what that label means, meanwhile back in Quinlan or Gun Barrel City or Waco, every swinging dick with a mullet understands what a Z28 is.

I don't really think this car is marketed toward a non-enthusiast... I actually hope this car is a bit faster than the GT500 so Ford will sack up and do a 4V version of the 6.2. I think that would be pretty sick.
