Not sure a hybrid is a good move, I learned the hard way.

So, I ended up getting a '15 ecoboost. What MPG's have some of you seen? I'm averaging like 23mpgs which is not any where near what was advertised. Is there a break in period where it will loosen up? My damned 2014 GT averaged 21mpgs. I bought this to save money, and it's not working.
Any thoughts on if an CAI and tune would help it out? I have a SCT tuner just laying around doing nothing, and the Steeda CAI is only like $250.

Are you just still testing the Turbo feature perhaps?

I driver mostly highway, about 18 miles one way to work with 17 of those miles on the highway. I usually set the cruise control to 70-75 depending on the road and just cruise. I hardly ever " get on it ". Just recently I have been actively trying to increase the MPG's without much luck.Originally posted by yellowstang View PostMostly city with a little highway mixed in Lyn averages 29.

If you're going to go hybrid, have you thought about full electric? Nissan leaf. Maybe get a used one. Even lower prices to fuel up. I'm sure its changed, maybe even gone lower, but the last calculation I saw was that it cost somewhere in the same area as $1.16 per gallon. Guess that all depends on your KWH price and all that.WH

My daily commute is to far for an all electric car. After test driving the hybrid I went with the eco boost. The Hybrid was just too sluggish, and the engine noise was annoying.Originally posted by Gasser64 View PostIf you're going to go hybrid, have you thought about full electric? Nissan leaf. I would give it some time before investing in any modifications. I know the hybrids had some issues meeting their EPA numbers, but I dont know much about the ecoboost.Originally posted by Craizie View PostSo, I ended up getting a '15 ecoboost. Are these numbers hand calculated or from the dash?
