I tend to agree, but serious talks of having a baby makes me want to be closer to home/family, and I have a feeling that's in play here.

That played a huge role for us. I am also able to help those that I love through my hard work and that makes me more happy than living in some place that I have no emotional attachment to, plus both of our families are here. The people here are friendly, the countryside is beautiful, and I know a lot of people which is great. I will admit that some parts of Europe were on the table, but once I came back for my baby shower I knew this is where I wanted to be.

Have you looked at things west of Ftw?

Yeah, I have a friend that lives out in fucking WEATHERFORD but thats kinda far out for us. We have looked more north west of fort worth and we like what we see, but that also feels too far. Right now its more a feeling out phase than actually buying something. We haven't placed a bid on anything and probably won't start seriously trying till after the Fall.

Little elm, frisco, savannah, union park, Aubrey, oak point any other neighborhood out on that 380 fiasco is a fucking disaster.

I don't think we want to go north even though that seems to be the trend. There are some really shitty ( poor quality homes ) places up there that are WAY over priced.

I just got back from a Juggalo wedding in McKinney where they had the reception at the HOA pool. It seemed like a nice area.

it's all about ovilla dog! glenn heights is almost all african american, and red oak seems trashier by the day. i think it was the walmart that brought them all to light.

midlothian is still a decent town and will be for a long time imo. there were only 5-10 black people in our class of 400 or so in 2007. not to sound racist

waxahachie is just a shit hole. hate that town

Midlo is good to go imo. Business wise i havent seen much growth in the last few years. My son just graduated K and the "mix" was decent. But alot more hispanics are moving into town... that being said the police here are major assholes and i havent seen any major crime around town either.

If you look in midlo stay away from 5th street down to about the oriellys area. (Basicaly the main part of town) on the north side of 287. Southside is the better part of town. And they are building a cubic shit ton of new developments on 663/9th street.

It has its upsides and downsides for sure. Imo the school system is A+ (#1 reason im still here) and the police, fire and maintenance crews are pretty good too. The biggest problem around here is the shithole that is "downtown".

I agree!! We just moved from that area and couldn't be happier to be gone from that mess!! It is only going to get worse as they are building a new high school and I believe middle school right in the middle of that area on 380. What use to take me 30 minutes to travel to work, was over an hour when we moved. And that was driving straight down 380 to McKinney..
