I don't see anything wrong with busting out the glass. And dragging his ass out. Robocop with the shotgun fucked up by hitting him with the butt end of that shotgun.
All these situations could so easily be avoidable if the Dickheads with just comply with orders.

The "Victim" should just count his blessings that he is alive. You deserve a few butt strokes if you go waving a knife around towards the police or anyone else. Considering that the officers did not just shoot the man I would say that they showed plenty of restraint.Magnus, I am your father. You need to ask your mother about a man named Calvin Klein.

While department did the right thing first time, he should have also been filed on. That first video was flat out assault. He just lost his cool when the guy mouthed off at him.
This one, I'm good til the bad guy is on the ground. Those last 6 licks with the shotgun butt we're too much. Did he need his ass whooped ? probably, but you can't do that shit .

Restraint would have been securing the man on the ground and putting him in the cruiser, not hitting him with a shotgun. I'm guessing we all should be fortunate every stop where you pop off doesn't result in a 'professional' shooting you in the face but if cops are professionals and have all of these laws protecting them and added penalties if you touch one, one would expect them to act like the servants they claim to be which means no hitting people when they're down with the buttstock of a shotgun.Originally posted by svo855 View PostThe "Victim" should just count his blessings that he is alive. I'm thinking of what would have happened to us in Iraq if we secured someone and then just took to hitting him a few times with our weapons for giggles because we were amped up.I wear a Fez. Fez-es are cool

I was raised by a man who started his LE career in the 60's, in Detroit. Back then the cops would whip your ass and send you on your way if they thought that you did something but they felt that it did not warrant a trip to jail. You know; back when the police were feared AND respected unlike today. Attack dogs on chains are required to keep people in line who are not apt to toeing the line. Love them or hate them the police are our attack dogs.Originally posted by Forever_frost View PostRestraint would have been securing the man on the ground and putting him in the cruiser, not hitting him with a shotgun. As to your Iraq war comment; the war would have been over and done and would have stayed done if we did not have a 5th column in this country who believe that they benefit politically from a defeat during a war. If you were amped up you should have been allowed to use that to whip some ass, any ass then maybe the world will learn to fear us again.Magnus, I am your father. I mean maybe once or twice. Guy won't submit? I'm not opposed to a night stick to the noggin. Calm him down a bit. But just over and over again like that, yeah he needs to find a new line of work. Especially with his history and that other vid of him elbowing a handcuffed guy who wasn't even fighting.Originally posted by soap View PostI don't see anything wrong with busting out the glass. Right, but unlike Iraq, citizens here are protected by the constitution. You want to whip someone with a shotgun? Cool. Let's do that but let's remove the protections that police have that prevent a citizen from fighting back when a group of thugs with badges and guns beat him within an inch of his life knowing he can't raise a hand against him otherwise they're justified to kill him.Originally posted by svo855 View PostI was raised by a man who started his LE career in the 60's, in Detroit. If you want to play by those rules, I'm all for it. Level the playing field. If it's okay for a cop to hit someone with a shotgun after they're controlled, you're all for someone doing it to the officer as well, correct? Equal protection under the law and allI wear a Fez. Fez-es are cool

Yea, good old sixties Detroit, now there is a model for police behavior.Originally posted by svo855 View PostI was raised by a man who started his LE career in the 60's, in Detroit. We don't need attack dogs, we need people that stop and think about cameras. This idiot just cost this city a million dollars. I bet next time they are happy with hiring a Chihuahua.Originally posted by racrguyWhat's your beef with NPR, because their listeners are typically more informed than others?Originally posted by racrguyVoting is a constitutional right, overthrowing the government isn't.

I know that you are right but I kind of like how they used to roll.Originally posted by Forever_frost View Post

FYI: I will take an ass kicking in an alley vs going to jail any day of the week.
Officers politely following the rules only works when they are dealing with people who want to fit into civil society and who are inclined to follow the rules. The underclass in this country does not follow the rules and can not be governed by those that do.Originally posted by Broncojohnny View PostYea, good old sixties Detroit, now there is a model for police behavior.
